Advocates for Community Transformation (A.C.T.)

Making a Difference, One Initiative at a Time

At Boughton Law, we believe meaningful change happens when people come together with purpose, driven by a shared commitment to community involvement. Our Advocates for Community Transformation (ACT) Program turns that belief into action, empowering our professionals to lead the change they want to see. Instead of a single firm-wide partnership, ACT puts decision-making in the hands of our lawyers and professionals, who bring forward causes that matter to them. Boughton Law provides real support—through resources, funding, and advocacy.

ACT is people-driven because we recognize that those closest to a cause are best positioned to make a difference. That’s why ACT is designed to be flexible, giving our professionals the freedom to advocate, innovate, and take ownership of their community involvement in ways that align with their skills, networks, and passions.

A Commitment to Community Impact

Through ACT, our team expands access to education, mentorship, and leadership development, fostering opportunities for underserved communities and those facing social or economic barriers. We support arts and culture initiatives, helping organizations reach broader audiences while providing emerging artists with platforms to grow. We also work with organizations advancing equity and inclusion, breaking down barriers across industries and communities.

Beyond professional and social initiatives, ACT supports our professionals in urban development efforts, advocating for safer, more vibrant city spaces, supporting local businesses, and expanding access to recreational and sports programs. Our approach is built on the idea that a thriving community benefits everyone—and that real impact comes from collaboration, leadership, and action. This evolving initiative reflects not just Boughton Law’s values but the diverse passions and expertise of our team.

A Different Approach to Giving Back

What makes ACT unique is its bottom-up, people-led approach. Rather than the firm selecting which causes to support, we empower our professionals to take the lead—whether it’s championing underrepresented voices in law, improving access to youth sports, or addressing pressing social needs. When our professionals want to make a difference, they don’t just receive encouragement—they receive real backing.

ACT is about thoughtful, strategic engagement that maximizes impact. Whether it’s helping secure board positions, funding grassroots initiatives, or providing legal expertise to organizations in need, Boughton Law gives its people the resources and support to create meaningful, lasting change.

Our Community Partners

At Boughton Law, we don’t just practice law—we build relationships, foster change, and contribute to a brighter future. Our commitment to community involvement is part of who we are, and through ACT, we continue to create impact where it matters most. We are proud to support a diverse range of organizations making a difference locally and globally.
