Hannah is a skilled advocate and problem-solver focusing on family law and commercial litigation. She has successfully represented clients at all levels of court in British Columbia. While she is a strong courtroom advocate, Hannah prioritizes practical, cost-effective resolutions and works to settle disputes outside of court whenever possible.

Litigation Expertise

Hannah’s practice covers a wide range of commercial litigation matters, including:

  • Business disputes including contractual disagreements, shareholder disputes, director and officer liability, and oppression claims.
  • Debt collection related to loan agreements and unpaid invoices.
  • Construction disputes including deficiency claims, cost overruns, delay, warranty claims, and builder’s liens.
  • Commercial leasing issues including termination disputes, rental arrears, capital improvements and material defects.
  • Employment matters including wrongful dismissal claims and severance negotiations.
  • Regulatory matters including in the real estate sector.

On the family law side, Hannah provides strategic representation in all areas of family law, including parenting, child and spousal support, property division, relocation/mobility, drafting marriage and separation agreements, and applying for divorce.

Limited Scope Services

As part of her commitment to making legal services more accessible, Hannah offers limited scope legal services for clients who represent themselves in court, mediation, or negotiation. These can include:

  • Legal advice and coaching
  • Legal research
  • Calculating child or spousal support, or the division of family property
  • Drafting court documents like claims, applications and affidavits
  • Drafting letters or offers to settle
  • Drafting contracts like separation agreements or cohabitation/marriage agreements
  • Preparing for a court appearance, mediation, examination or trial
  • Preparing desk order divorce documents

Professional Activities

Community Involvement

Hannah is deeply committed to access to justice and community service. She provides pro bono independent legal advice and mediation services through Access Pro Bono’s Family Mediation Program. She also serves as a board member of West Side Family Place, supporting programs for families and young children, and volunteers with her church youth group.
